Recipient of the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Best Jazz Ensemble and the British Jazz Award for ‘Best Small Group’, Nigel Price is a highly skilled guitarist as well as an accomplished composer whose swinging bebop approach combined with flawless control is a delight. Pianist/composer/educator Paul Edis has released numerous original albums, toured the UK, Europe and the US and includes performances at the likes of Dizzy’s New York, SF Jazz, Jazzhus Montmartre and the Royal Albert Hall. Tonight these two masters join forces to perform the music of George Gershwin, who wrote some of the most iconic songs of the 20th Century (think “Rhapsody in Blue”, “Summertime”, “Porgy & Bess”…) in their own, unique, way.
