The Louis Dowdeswell Big Band returns after three years for an intimate, full-throttle set at Oxford Street’s legendary 100 Club.
Led by trumpeter Louis Dowdeswell, whose YouTube channel has amassed over 30 million views, the band brings together some of the best musicians in the UK, performing original arrangements and new charts, most of them written by the award-winning and internationally acclaimed Callum Au.
In the screaming lead-trumpet tradition of Maynard Ferguson and Bill Chase, expect modern takes on classic songs, the Rocky theme, Into the Unknown, Let It Go, Bridge Over Troubled Water, plus a sneak preview of their forthcoming second album at one of London’s most celebrated venues.
