Chaps and Straps - Howdy Partner Special Edition

Howdy Partner is a special edition of Chaps and Straps, created for LGBTQIA+ people who'd like to make new romantic, sexual, or flirtatious connections.

You'll be guided through a series of line dances suitable for even the most novice of dancers, all set to your favourite queer country anthems. Dancing together is a brilliant way to break the ice, and there'll be plenty of opportunities to chat, mingle, and connect throughout the evening.

Whether you're single, dating, in a monogamous relationship, polyamorous, or exploring whatever kind of connections feel right for you, you're very welcome. We ask that everyone approaches one another with kindness, respect, and with consent at the forefront of your minds.

Dress up if you feel like it—think cowboy hats, denim, leather—or just come as you are. Please wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

This event is created by and for LGBTQIA+ people. We especially want to welcome our Trans, Intersex, and Non-Binary siblings—your presence is valued and celebrated here. Our dances are taught with options to suit different gender expressions and are designed to help you connect with your body with joy.
