About the show

Meraki Duo (flute and guitar) launch the pre-release tour of their debut album on Delphian Records in February 2026, where Spring Bank Arts' audience will be amongst the first to hear it live.

Their programme sweeps through the album's unique, diverse repertoire, featuring own arrangements of songs by William Grant Still, Messiaen, and of Trinidadian composer Dominique Le Gendre's joyful suite drawing inspiration from Caribbean folk music.

Within this programme, works for solo guitar and solo flute showcase masterpieces by Takemitsu and Telemann. They are also delighted to share one of their favourite works for alto flute and guitar: Serbian guitarist Miroslav Tadic's thrilling Four Macedonian Pieces.
