One of Australia's most decorated blues guitarists brings hard-driving Texas blues to The Oast, Rainham on Saturday 22nd August 2026, as part of his 2026 UK tour.
Ray Beadle has built a career that reaches well beyond Australia. He held a three-month residency at B.B. King's Blues Club in Memphis, has performed at Buddy Guy's blues club in Chicago, and took a top-eight finish at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis — the most competitive stage in the blues world. He came up through the Foreday Riders, long known as Australia's "University of the Blues", and has since released fifteen albums spanning everything from acoustic Delta blues to hard-driving Texas rock, including Bound To Get The Blues (2023).
The awards have followed. He is a Chain Blues Awards winner across Best Album, Best Song and Best Male Artist, and was named Australian Blues Music Performer of the Year in 2007.
What comes through live is the playing itself — fluid, unhurried and full of tone, with a vocal to match. This is proper blues guitar in a room small enough to see every note.
The Oast sits beside Rainham station, built in the 1870s by the Wakeley Brothers. Exposed brickwork, timber beams and an intimate atmosphere, easily reached from Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester and Sittingbourne.
