About the show
Sound of the Sirens are an acclaimed folk-rock duo from Exeter, Devon, whose powerful harmonies, heartfelt songwriting and infectious live performances have earned them a devoted following across the UK and beyond.
Formed in 2011, Abbe and Hannah combine soaring vocal harmonies with a multi-instrumental sound spanning acoustic and electric guitars, piano, mandolin and percussion. Blending folk, pop and acoustic rock, their songs explore everything from relationships and personal struggles to resilience, mental health and the highs and lows of everyday life.
Their reputation as a formidable live act has taken them to stages across the UK, Europe and Ireland, including Glastonbury Festival, while an early champion in BBC Radio 2’s Chris Evans led to appearances on his radio show and TFI Friday, performing on the same programme as U2 and Take That.
Over a decade into their career, Sound of the Sirens continue to evolve without losing the warmth, honesty and chemistry that has become their trademark. Their latest album, The Other Me, released in 2025, explores themes of transformation, loss and personal growth while showcasing a more refined and expansive side to their songwriting.
At the heart of it all is the live show: huge harmonies, exceptional musicianship, humour, energy and an effortless connection with the audience that has made Sound of the Sirens one of the South West’s most enduring independent acts.
