Esther Freud
Part of the great Freud clan; she is the daughter of the painter, Lucien Freud and great-granddaughter of the founder of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud. Born in London in 1963, Esther trained as an actress and has sinced worked as both an actress and a writer. Her first novel, Hideous Kinky, was shortlisted for the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize and filmed starring Kate Winslet. Her second novel, The Wild, is a clear-eyed evocation of the collision of families and step-families.
