Barnacle Buoys

Based in Bristol and North Somerset respectively, the Barnacle Buoys are the much-loved sea shanty group who expertly revive classic songs of the sea. Tapping into the traditions of the maritime world, the Barnies, as they are affectionately known, perform renditions of, traditional sea shanties like Nelson's Blood, Santianna, Wellerman, and more modern adaptations like Sailor Ain't A Sailor (Last Shanty) and Mermaid, which have become firm fan favourites. Their a cappella sets are also infused with some outstanding original material like Clevedon Bay, named after their home town.
