About the show
Ashley Hickson-Lovence is the winner of the East Anglian Book Awards 2024 and YA winner of the Diverse Book Awards 2025, as well as being longlisted for the Jhalak Poetry Prize and highly commended for Best Single Poem at the Forward Prize. With a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing from UEA, and nominated for the Black Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution to Literature in 2023, Ashley will be talking about his groundbreaking work with local author Jackie Carreira.
