About the show

A wonderful show about the power of imagination based on the popular children’s book Flyaway Katie by award-winning author Polly Dunbar, with music by Tom Gray of Gomez.
Katie is all alone and feeling grey. The birds in the picture on her wall look so colourful-if only Katie could be as bright as them, who knows what might happen?

The show is bursting with colour, movement and surprises, with puppets of varying scales acting the story.
If the weather is fine, this performance will take place outside in The Horton Gardens.

The show is aimed at 1 – 6 year-olds and will be 40 mins of pure joy followed by 15 minutes of ‘meet the puppets’.

Seating
You are welcome to bring blankets and cushions as audience members will be seated on the grass. A small number of chairs will be available for those who are unable to sit on the floor. Customers are able to bring small camping chairs but may be asked to sit at the back to ensure everyone is able to see.
