About the show
Step inside a 1950s Glasgow washhouse on Hogmanay, where the water’s hot and the gossip’s even hotter. Tony Roper's play has become a beloved Scottish classic
Patter, pride, and plenty of laughs
Magrit, Dolly, Doreen, and Mrs. Culfeathers share laughter, secrets, and dreams while tackling the final wash of the year in Tony Roper’s The Steamie. With songs by David Anderson, experience a joyful celebration of friendship and the heart of working-class life.
