About the show
Mark Nightingale (trombone) & Freddie Gavita (trumpet) lead a quintet exclusively playing tunes composed by brass players. As well as world famous jazz artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, JJ Johnson & Clifford Brown, composers Sammy Nestico, Johnny Mandel & Thad Jones were all brass players too. All of which adds up to a uniquely fresh programme performed by two of our very best brass players, with Jim Watson (keys), Dave Whitfield (bass) & Matt Home (drums).

Expect expressive, lyrical playing, great imagination and incredible technical dexterity from this remarkable trombonist, who has worked with the likes of Clark Terry, George Shearing, Louis Bellson, Tom Jones, Cleo Laine and John Dankworth.
