About the show

After the success of the first show in Eastbourne, Stitches Comedy Clubs are back at the Devonshire Park Theatre with 3 more household names to bring laughs to the town!

Opening the show is hot property and rising star of the comedy world Scott Bennett. He’s currently touring 2, yes 2 sell out tours every night of the week around the UK but we’ve snagged him to give our show an explosive start. You’ll have seen him on The Royal Variety Performance, Live At The Apollo and heard his own comedy special on Radio 4 and you’ll see why Scott is the next big thing!

Next up is true comedy royalty, Jo Caulfield. Jo has been on our TV screens regularly since the late 90s and has starred in every single comedy show you can think of from House of Games and Mock The Week to Michael McIntyres Comedy Roadshow and Live At The Apollo - now residing in Scotland, this is a rare treat to see Jo on the south coast!

Headliner is none other than Simon Brodkin! You’ll remember Simon on a variety of his own TV shows with his character act Lee Nelson, but now Simon has removed the mask, and is touring as himself around the UK and smashing it! He’s sold out the Hammersmith Apollo 3 times on his own, appeared on The Royal Variety Performance, Live At The Apollo and Comedy Central. He’s pranked everyone from Donald Trump and Sep Blatter to Kanye West at Glastonbury and Theresa May at the party conference. A true comedy legend and one we can’t wait to see!

All hosted by award winning comedian and compere James Alderson, it’s a night to write in your calendar now!! Don’t miss it!

Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.

Scott Bennett appearing at this event

Scott Bennett

Stylishly shirted, Yorkshire-born Scott Bennett delivers wry observations on the absurdity of modern living. His sharply-written routines, drawn from real-life experiences have been delighting audiences across the country; except in Yorkshire, where they are deeply suspicious of his shirts. Likeable, with a warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic. English Comedian of the Year Runner Up, Comedy Cellar New Act of the Year and Old Speckled Hen Comedian of the Year. 'A generous helping of wonderfully witty comic observations about life's little quirks, relationships and human behaviour. Served by a Yorkshireman with relentless enthusiasm and boundless energy' (<a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk)" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.bbc.co.uk)</a> 'Naturally hilarious, the highlight of the evening' (Broadway Baby, Edinburgh Fringe 2013) 'A star of the future' (Huddersfield Examiner) 'This loveable rising star enthrals his audiences with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic' (Funhouse Comedy).

'Cut-throat wit and a razor-sharp tongue...Sharp-witted, urban comedy that goes down a treat. Like a sociology textbook, but with jokes' (The Times). 'Incapable of doing a bad show, so sharp is her tongue and so in tandem is it with her mischievous mind' (The Scotsman).
