About the show
Flat Cap Comedy are delighted to bring one of their amazing Comedy shows to the Pattenmakers Arms in Duffield.
The comedy nights they run at the Shiny Brewery in Little Eaton have become legendary! Let’s try and get something similar going in Duffield.
Here are the acts on the 1st April
Christian Reilly
Topping the bill is Christian Reilly, a musical comedy genius, who performs the most hilarious comedy songs on his guitar. He is cool, current and seriously funny and performs very funny, catchy tunes… hysterical material. Not to be missed, once seen, never forgotten!
Pat Draper
A bulletproof opening act with an inventive turn of phrase and endearingly droll delivery. His potent mix of gags, poetry and visual interludes nigh on guarantee the audience is entertained throughout. In short, I really rate him – Anthony J Brown – Stagefright Comedy
Dawn Bailey
Warm, wicked and wonderfully honest.
A huge favourite on the UK comedy circuit, Dawn’s sharp observational humour and relatable storytelling have earned her the tag “the female Peter Kay.” She delivers raw, no-nonsense comedy about life, love, kids, slimming clubs and the sheer chaos of everyday living; all with charm and killer punchlines.
“Pin-sharp anecdotes from a life juggling work, kids and involuntary flatulence… she’s a very funny lady.” — BBC
Stevie Gray (MC)
“A great MC who has the audience in the palm of his hand” - NottsComedyReview

Featuring
Christian Reilly
Now a solo headline act all over the globe, Christian uses his improvisations, sharp wit, youthful energy, guitar skills and vocal mimicry to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians with his charming onstage confidence machine-gunning impossibly catchy tunes with hysterical lyrical content. His solo Edinburgh Festival Show, ‘Lost In Music’ was sold out, critically acclaimed and was the winner of the 'Spirit Of The Fringe' Award. In 1999 Christian started playing guitar and singing for the American comic polymath Rich Hall. High points included winning the Perrier Award in 2001 for "Rich Hall is Otis Lee Crenshaw", being on subsequent CD and DVD releases, seeing the world, appearing on stage with Seinfeld star Michael Richards and getting on Late Night with Conan O' Brien. He was a regular on a BBC radio show with the Richard Herring, called That Was Then, This Is Now that was critically acclaimed and lasted for 3 series. This led to a key role in Herring’s groundbreaking podcast, As It Occurs To Me which ran for three years and won a Chortle award for best internet comedy and appearances on Radio 2’s ‘Jammin’. 'So much biblical gusto and zest it is impossible not to be possessed by his optimistic persona' (Broadway Baby). 'If you’re a fan of Bill Bailey or Rich Hall, you’re probably a Christian Reilly fan already' (The Guardian). ‘LOLternative Rock’.
