The Sound of Summer Love: A Musical Rivalry That Changed Pop History
The Brighton Beach Boys Present: California Dreams Meet British Invasion
In a spectacular tribute to one of music's most inspiring rivalries, The Brighton Beach Boys bring to life the magical era when two legendary bands—The Beach Boys and The Beatles—pushed each other to new creative heights, forever transforming the landscape of popular music.
This concert celebrates the friendly competition that gave birth to some of the most innovative albums of the 1960s. When Brian Wilson heard The Beatles' "Rubber Soul," it sparked a creative fire that led to the masterpiece "Pet Sounds." In turn, this groundbreaking album inspired The Beatles' "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," creating a remarkable cycle of musical innovation.
Brighton Beach Boys
A tribute to The Beach Boys, playing music from Surfin' USA to Pet Sounds and beyond. Brought together in 2001 by shared love for the glorious harmonies created by Brian Wilson, in 2006 the line-up expanded to include the 16-piece Psychedelic Love Orchestra. In 2011, they expanded their repertoire to include performances by the Beatles.
