About the show
Wingerworth Comedy Club is back with three more amazing comedians right here on your doorstep, all presented by your (local resident...) resident MC Carl Jones!
Don’t miss out - these tickets sell very quickly every time and we’re strictly limited on capacity so book early to avoid disappointment.
N.B Acts are sometimes liable to change due to TV bookings, tour support and other things beyond our reasonable control. While this is rare, we will always endeavour to replace acts with a similar level comedian.
Featuring - Oliver Bowler
Sally-Anne Hayward

Sally-Anne is charming and popular, with a winning brand of autobiographical humour. She'll take you on a journey through her slightly eccentric world, including insights into the female psyche and her compulsion to send off spoof job applications.
'Small-time country posh life versus young lady breaking into the stand-up circuit. Fabulous!' (BBC London Live)
'It's easy to imagine Hayward at the 02 or guesting on QI. She is a crowd-pleaser and a straightforward observational comic, but so are most of Britain's favourite comedians today. Hayward is easily the equal of any of them' (The Skinny)
'Innate effusive likeability with straightforward but effective writing... a primetime act' (http://www.Chortle.co.uk)
'Exceptionally funny' (The Independent).
Nick Doody

Comic who uses his physicality as an extra dimension to his show. A finalist on Channel 4's 'So You Think You're Funny?', topical and not afraid to say what he thinks, Nick Doody's brand of political comedy and satire has won fans all over the country. Whilst still a student he supported Bill Hicks on his final tour of the UK, on Bill’s request.
'Some of the best political material I have heard in a while... comic genius' (The Scotsman)
“Very impressive...unfailingly good punchlines...intelligent and funny...comes with the chortle seal of approval” - (Chortle) *****
“A refreshing change...Sharp witted, but never sharp-tongued” (THREE WEEKS) *****
Carl Jones

After winning the Nottingham Comedy Festival ‘Newcomer to Comedy’ competition after just a handful of gigs, Carl has gone on to reach the semi finals of Amused Moose Laugh Off 2011, win both Manchester and Preston ‘Beat the Frog’ competitions at the first attempt and survived the dreaded gong at the Manchester Comedy Store. As a regular member of Nottingham’s top improvised comedy group ‘MissImp’, Carl can also be seen at their monthly residence at Nottingham’s ‘Glee Club’, bringing a unique brand of quick wit and occasionally rude, laddish humour to an otherwise enlightening and informative evening.
