Now in their eighteenth year as the UK's leading Northern Soul band, THE NORTHERN SOULTRAIN arrive in Carlisle with their big soul shakedown party promising the hottest soul night around.... and this Lancashire based, nine piece freight train of a band are showing no signs of slowing down as the group continue to perform at festivals, dance halls and theatres around the UK.
Fronted by their charismatic and energetic lead singer David John Jaggs, the group also present the sounds of the 'Union Pacific Horns' and one of the tightest and driving rhythms sections currently on the soul scene!

THE NORTHERN SOULTRAIN will be playing live, the very best soul anthems from Wigan Casino, Twisted Wheel and Blackpool Mecca. Great songs by Dobie Gray, Frank Wilson, Al Wilson, Julien Covay, Billy Butler and many more. Throw in just a pinch Motown and we have a new look Northern Soul stew served up by Lancashire's very own 'THE NORTHERN SOULTRAIN!’
Additionally the band will be supported by DJ Ed Lawford who will be spinning the vinyl and playing soul classics before and after the band performances.
A cabaret show this is not, this is an authentic soul party!

This sensational nine piece band, of hand-picked players from all around East Lancashire, captures the feel of the classic era of soul. With authentic arrangements featuring the blistering sound of The Union Pacific Horns, hits from The Temptations, Dobie Gray, Wilson Pickett, The Showstoppers, Stevie Wonder, Dean Parrish, Jackie Wilson and many more are electrifyingly brought to life. Having performed extensively across the North West (the heartland of Northern Soul), as well as "keeping the faith" further afield, The SoulTrain have been much in demand from club soul nights through to theatres, festivals and Northern Soul "all nighters". With their inspired mix of Sixties and Northern Soul numbers, one thing is certain - "cabaret soul" this isn't. Their performances are unmissable events for all soulboys (and girls).
