W.I.T.C.H.

WITCH stands for We Intend To Cause Havoc. These pioneers of "Zamrock", a fusion of African polyrhythms and English psychedelia, WITCH released the first commercial record in Zambia back in 1972. The band disbanded within a decade, but returned in 2017 with original singer Emmanuel ‘Jagari’ Chanda. He is the only remaining original band member as the others sadly passed in the 1980s from AIDS related diseases and natural causes. Thanks to Jagari and his guest musicians, you can become reacquainted with the world of Zamrock sounds and the witchcraft that nearly disappeared forever.
