New Writing Showcase
New Writing Showcase at Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds
About the show
Brand new writing from local creatives, performed for the first time by professional, local actors.
A mysterious delivery, a sealed door, a can of worms… Sometimes a warning of something dangerous, forbidden or cursed, other times a request to wait until the perfect moment, but always the same instruction…DO NOT OPEN.
The Writer’s Room is back with another evening of brilliant new writing, including prose, poetry and plays! Come along and support our writers as they showcase an exciting range of new work in our intimate Greene Room Bar. You’ll watch six new pieces of writing on the topic ‘Do Not Open’, performed by a cast of professional local actors for the very first time.
The Writer’s Room is a peer-to-peer facilitated space at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, where writers can build new networks within the community and engage with writing briefs set by the group each term. Whether you write novels, short stories, plays or poetry, our Writer’s Room is a space in which you can experiment and learn from others with a similar interest.
