The Voice Squad

The Voice Squad is a 'stage choir', which means that the performance aspect of the group is just as important as the music. The company comprises two groups: the seniors (aged roughly 14-20) and the cadets (as young as 3 and up to around 14). The Cadets are split into two further squadrons: Bethany’s Brigade, which is a training ground for the under 9 age group (directed by Bethany Barber), and Birgitta's Barmy Army, which nurtures the early teens and pre-teens. Rehearsals are weekly on Saturday mornings in term time, at the Quaker Meeting House on St Johns St, Bury St Edmunds. Seniors (entry by audition only) rehearse from 9:45am-11:45am and Cadets (no audition) from 12noon-1:00pm There are extra holiday rehearsals when major productions are afoot.
