The Blues Summit returns to Bromley Blues Club on Sunday 6th December 2026, and five of British blues' most celebrated names come together for one night only. Dave Kelly. Alan Glen. Mississippi MacDonald. Lucy Piper. Brent Cundall. One stage, one night, no repeats.
This isn't a concert in the conventional sense. The Blues Summit is a one-off collaborative event in the tradition of the great American blues sessions of the 1950s and 60s — the finest players of a generation stepping into a room together, no set lists, no ego, just music.
Dave Kelly is a Blues Band legend and a master of slide guitar. Alan Glen is widely regarded as one of the finest blues harmonica players anywhere, a veteran of both The Yardbirds and Nine Below Zero, with recording credits alongside Jeff Beck and Slash. Mississippi MacDonald, the man at the heart of Bromley Blues Club, is a four-time UK Blues Award winner and a member of the Take Me To The River All-Stars, whose stinging Memphis-rooted guitar has earned international acclaim.
Behind them, Lucy Piper — daughter of blues legend Julian Piper, and a drummer who spent her formative years absorbing the Mississippi juke joint circuit — and Nashville-born bassist Brent Cundall.
Bromley Little Theatre holds a hundred people. Last year's Summit sold out.

Featuring - Mississippi MacDonald
Mississippi MacDonald is an English Soul-Blues singer/songwriter/guitarist. In 2024, he won 2 UK Blues Federation Awards – Traditional Blues Artist Of The Year and Acoustic Blues Act Of The Year. In 2025 and 2026, he won the Best Acoustic Act for the second and third times and was inducted into the UK Blues Hall Of Fame.
Since his signing to APM Records in 2021, he has appeared on BBC Radio 2’s Blues Show with Cerys Matthews and has played extensively in the UK and the US including a Washington State Blues Society showcase on Beale Street during the International Blues Challenge, appearances on King Biscuit Time (Helena AK), and Radio Memphis. He has recorded recently in the US with established artists Vaneese Thomas (Rufus Thomas), Benny Turner (Freddie King, Mighty Joe Young), and the Reverend Shawn Amos.
In July and October 2023, Mississippi recorded 10 new tracks with Hi Rhythm (Al Green, Ann Peebles, Otis Clay) in Memphis at Royal Studios, with Grammy Award winning producer Boo Mitchell, for release later in 2024. In May 2024, Mississippi was part of the Take Me To The River All Stars along with William Bell (Stax), Hi Rhythm, Jools Holland and Eric Gales.
Mississippi’s first record for APM, “Do Right, Say Right” was named in the top 10 Blues Albums of 2022 by Mojo Magazine, and was album of the year on HRH Blues Radio.
Touring his second album for APM Records, Heavy State Loving Blues, he was appraised by Blues In Britain Magazine as “one of finest modern bluesmen in the U.K.”

Alan Glen
Alan Glen is a British blues harmonica player, best known for his work with The Yardbirds, Nine Below Zero, Little Axe, and his own bands, The Barcodes and The Incredible Blues Puppies.
Dave Kelly
Dave Kelly is known as Britain's finest blues slide guitarist, as well as being an excellent vocalist. He was joint lead singer in The Blues Band of which he was a founder member with Paul Jones.
