About the show
Slide guitar master Martin Harley plays Bromley Blues Club at Bromley Little Theatre on Sunday 11th October 2026 — thirty years on the road and nine albums distilled into one intimate room.
Harley stands at the crossroads of Americana, blues and folk. Guitarist Magazine calls him one of the UK's finest contemporary roots musicians; Roots Magazine simply calls him a slide guitar master. The Guardian called his playing spellbinding. It is a reputation built entirely on the quality of the music and the power of the live show.
He has recorded in Texas, Nashville and Wales, played Glastonbury's Acoustic and Avalon stages, the Royal Albert Hall, a sold-out Union Chapel, the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and the Troubadour in Los Angeles. He has toured in support of Bonnie Raitt, collaborated with fourteen-time Grammy winner Jerry Douglas, and spent six weeks recording in Guinea, Senegal and Mali with musicians including Vieux Farka Touré. His 2017 album Static in the Wires reached number two on the iTunes Blues chart, kept off the top only by The Rolling Stones.
His latest, Morning Sun, is his first solo album in five years and by most accounts his best — produced by Nigel Stonier, with percussion from Michael Blair, the drummer behind Tom Waits, Lou Reed and Elvis Costello.
Bromley Little Theatre is intimate and characterful. There is no bad seat.
