About the show
One of Shakespeare’s earliest plays, The Comedy of Errors tells the story of twin sons and their twin servants, separated in a shipwreck. The play explores themes of identity, mistaken identity, and family as we find out what happens when the twins find themselves in the same town on the same day. Confusion and mishap ensue as no-one can tell the twins apart, husbands appear to be in love with the wrong person, debts are refused to be paid, and servants lock masters out of their own homes.
In their 41st summer tour, The Festival Players once again bring live original music, comedic chaos, fast-paced story telling, traditional costume, and more, to Shakespeare’s most farcical play.
The performance starts at 7pm in the Medieval Barn. Please bring cushions and blankets if you wish. Seating is unreserved. Bar will be open from 6.15pm.
Free parking at the Barn is limited and should be reserved at the time of booking. If you need a specific parking space (eg. wheelchair accessible) or any accessible seating for the show, please complete the relevant section at the time of booking. Book online direct at Ticketsource or via the Barn website. Ticketsource booking fee is £1.25 on top of ticket price.
