Harriet Dyer & Joe Sutherland - Edinburgh Previews at The Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol
About the show
Harriet Dyer
Fresh from winning the Channel 4 Sean Lock Comedy Award 2024, the gloriously bonkers Harriet Dyer returns with a new work-in-progress hour. Known for her wild imagination, offbeat storytelling and unstoppable sense of fun, Harriet brings a whole batch of fresh ideas to the stage as she shapes her next big show.
After delighting audiences on Live at the Apollo (BBC Two) and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4), she’s back to experiment, play, and let her comedy brain run wild. Expect a fizzy, feel-good hour packed with newfound nonsense, joyful chaos and that unmistakable Dyer charm that’s made her one of the most unique comedy voices in the UK.
“A must-see and a masterclass of originality.”
★★★★★ Neurodiverse Review
Joe Sutherland
Joe Sutherland is back with a brand-new work-in-progress hour. His debut solo show MODEL/ACTRESS stormed the Edinburgh Fringe 2017, scooping the inaugural Pleasance x Vault Award. His follow-up TOXIC became one of the top ten best-reviewed comedy shows of the entire festival, sold out the Soho Theatre, and even sashayed its way across Scandinavia and the Istanbul Comedy Festival.
Now Joe’s cooking up his next spectacle. Expect razor-sharp jokes, unapologetic glamour and a level of attitude that should probably require planning permission.
“He combines borderline offensive self-confidence and biting punchlines with an openness that leaves the audience totally tamed.”

Featuring - Harriet Dyer

Laughter Lounge Award winner Harriet is described by The Guardian as 'definitely one to watch'.
'She’s got funny bones' (Kevin Bridges)
'Exploring the thin line between eccentric and the mental’ is perfect comedy ground for Harriet Dyer, who seems to have lived her entire life on that interface. Her instinctively funny stand-up is packed full of weird and wonderful incidents from her strange life so far – yet however outlandish the tales, they all have an absolute ring of truth' (Steve Bennett, Chortle at the Leicester Comedy Festival)
'A bundle of whimsical hilarity… a breath of fresh air... will have you in stitches' (Broadway Baby)
'Dyer made the audience feel at home and managed to wow the crowd… Loveable and delightful' (Three Weeks).
Joe Sutherland

Former model turned aspiring model.
With a caustic, catty wit and unapologetic confidence, he has taken the UK comedy circuit by the balls, and the circuit liked it.
Selected for the Pleasance Comedy Reserve at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 and a finalist in the prestigious NATYs awards and Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian, Joe now performs at the biggest and best clubs in the country.
Also working as an actor and writer, he has been seen in the movie Pride and written for really cool publications that you probably haven't heard of.
Baby-faced comedian with the voice of an angel on 40 B&H a day.
Chortle - "Demands attention... He exudes a star quality, and on his own terms... Definitely one to watch."
