Ya like jazz? We welcome you to this wonderful fundraising event for the Brighton Women's Equinox Service. There will be a range of multi-disciplinary acts. We're starting off the night with spoken word and Jazz, with Christopher Luu on keys. Then moving on to Neo-soul with some fabulous vocals from Tia Ice. Finally finishing off the night with Tara Lily, an act not to be missed, with her incredible range and Shakti jazz. Come, have a good time and support our cause. We might even have a surprise talk from an established lecturer from Sussex University. Learn about our cause and come out of this event with your best listening ears and groovy feet.
Featuring - Tara Lily
Hailing from the musical diversity of South London, Tara Lily spent her late teens developing her own brand of urban jazz. Growing up in Peckham around rappers and beat makers, whilst learning to play traditional jazz and hard bop, Tara found herself at The Brit School aged 15. She left early but went on to win a place at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, to study jazz vocals and piano, at the same time continuing to write songs and produce her own tracks.
