Topic supporting Bradford Literary Festival

The BLF partners with Bradford’s Topic Folk Club in its 70th year, for an evening of poetry, storytelling, music and songs on Thursday July 2nd at the Castle, Grattan Road, BD1 2LU.

The BLF partners with Bradford’s Topic Folk Club for an evening of poetry, storytelling, music and songs on Thursday July 2nd at the Castle, Grattan Road BD1 2LU starting at 7.30. Admission £1.00. BLF will be joining one of the Topic's fortnightly sessions when people are invited to bring poems, stories, songs and tunes, either their own or the work of others, to share in an informal, acoustic setting. The event will be held at the Castle, Grattan Road, Bradford BD1 2UL. There will be an entry fee of a £1 payable on the night. More details from info4topic@gmail.com

Bradford's Topic Folk Club is celebrating its 70th year. It started in 1956 in the Laycock Rooms in Bradford city centre. Over the years it has hosted the likes of Peggy Seeger, Ewan MacColl, Roy Bailey, Dick Gaughan, Mike Harding, the Watersons & Martin Carthy. It is heralded as the oldest folk club in the world.
