About the show
COBO : Comedy Shutdown proudly presents our Black History Month Special, hitting venues across the UK this October! Gather your friends and family for an unforgettable evening of uproarious laughter and celebration.
Featuring - Richard Blackwood

Considered by some to be the UK's answer to Will Smith, TV presenter, comedian, pop star/rapper, actor and radio DJ Richard Blackwood has many strings to his bow. As a rapper and singer, Richard had a no.3 hit single in 2000 with his cover of Junior's 'Mama Used To Say' (who happens to be Richard's uncle!), reworked as 'Mama Who Da Man'. Nowadays you will mostly find Richard on the stand-up circuit.
Eddie Kadi

Renowned for his quick wit, clean comedy and unpredictable shows, Eddie Kadi has received much public acclaim in recent years and is fast becoming a powerful force in British comedy.
Travis Jay

Travis Jay burst onto the comedy scene in 2009, after being inspired by Kojo's Comedy Funhouse. He's continued to go from strength to strength performing in many venues across the country including The Comedy Store, Comedy Cafe, The Barbican, Hackney Empire and The Shaw Theatre.
Drawing on observations on life for his material, his influences are the likes of Bernie Mac, Dane Cook, John Bishop, Kat Williams and Dave Chapelle. He has previously warmed up for Ava Vidal at Soho Theatre and Angie Le Mar - his mother! - at the Barbican.
