Midlake
Texan band Midlake formed in 1999 after meeting at the University of North Texas. The band were originally influenced by jazz and funk, but after a few band member changes, they began turning their hand to music similar to that of early Radiohead and Grandaddy before beggining to dabble in lo-fi and electronica and seventies vintage-pop. The result is a band who are as diverse as their influences but whose southern charm and imagination constantly shine through.

Jane Weaver
Abusing, evading, and obliterating 20 years of whimsical pop trends, Jane Weaver’s experience as a truly independent and resilient songwriter and sound-carrier commands respect and inspiration in equal measures. The Leisure Society
Even before you get to the music there’s plenty to pique one’s interest with The Leisure Society. Main-man Nick Hemming began his career in shoegaze band The Telescopes and shared a further outfit with Paddy Considine and Shane Meadows. They’ve had two consecutive Ivor Novellonominations for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, and have enjoyed the endorsement of everyone from Guy Garvey to Brian Eno. The Brethren
A powerhouse collective who blend rock, soul and cinematic storytelling, The Brethren have spent more than a decade touring globally. Perhaps best known as Elle King’s backing band, individual members have also played with such artists Rufus Wainwright, Nick Cave, Sky Ferreira, The Veronicas and Midlake.
