About the show

Christie Reeves is known for her impressively dynamic voice that envelops the listener with crystal clear highs and soul-full depth.

Reeves' song writing explores 'using the natural world as a mirror to reflect on the nature of ourselves' and has a sound that is influenced by the recording work of many folk artists & groups including Martin Carthy and Fleetfoxes, emphasised by her acoustic guitar picking and harp-like tenor ukulele.

Reeves has played festivals up and down the UK including Moseley Folk & Arts Festival and Dart Music Festival. With a September residency on the Greek island of Rhodes and featuring on tracks by Italian producer, SRNDE - Christie finds herself being heard on a worldwide stage and feels a wave of support behind her upcoming release of the debut album, The Sun & Shadows, from which her latest single, ‘Drift Away’ has most recently been played on BBC CWR.

"...the resonance of Jacqui McShee and the purity of Emma Kirkby...Great voice and a real musician." (Michael McGlynn, Composer/ANÚNA).

"Christie has the voice of an angel. Impressive range...very poetic songwriting." (Guy Chambers, Songwriter: Robbie Williams, Katie Melua, Mark Ronson).
