We're excited to announce that we have once again secured the services of rock and roll legend Mike Sanchez - backed by 4-piece band The Portions- to play at JJJ on Saturday 1st August!

British singer and pianist Mike Sanchez is one of the most exciting and charismatic performers in the world of rhythm & blues and rock 'n' roll. His indelible image as a frenetic front man, pumping powerful boogie-woogie from the piano in a soaking suit, has won him fans from all over the world and attracted a following from many famous rock and blues legends who have lined up to work with him.

In a stellar careers that's seen Mike play alongside such giants as Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Albert Lee and Dave Gilmour along with a 4 year stint with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, Mike - of whom Mark Lamarr said "Mike Sanchez would have invented rock 'n' roll if no one else had bothered!" - has travelled the world spreading the joy of rock 'n' roll and R&B wherever he can!

Special Guests are Vee-Jay King and his Dukes who'll be serving-up a glorious mix of West Coast Rhythm and Blues and the Swamp Blues of Louisiana. Like the music of T Bone Walker, Gatemouth Brown, Slim Harpo, Lazy Lester etc? You’ll love this band of top Midlands based musicians!
