On Saturday 4th July Mena Americana hit the JJJ stage for an evening of US rock classics ... well, on the 4th July what could be more fitting?
Fronted by Kozmic Pearl's Mena Hardy - who, for anyone who has been at their gigs at JJJ will know, is one hell of a singer! - the band plunder the US rock/Americana songbook with gigs featuring such gems as Folsom Prison Blues, Hound Dog, Suzie Q, La Grange, Proud Mary, etc. So, if you enjoy 60s/70s classics from the other side of the pond from such giants as Creedence Clearwater Revival, ZZ Top, Joe Walsh and many, many more ... then you know where to be on the 4th!
What's more, the gig is 'Free Entry' too but we will be passing round the 'bucket of appreciation' for contributions during the evening so you can show your appreciation to the band.
