Ria Timkin – Favourite Child Tour: Belfast

RIA TIMKIN returns with the new EP, Favourite Child. Her cinematic alt-pop sound, defined by soaring synths, driving rhythms and emotive vocals, draws inspiration from Imagine Dragons, CHVRCHES, Aurora & Florence + The Machine.

Launched as a solo project in Bristol, RIA TIMKIN expanded into a full band in 2024 with Jamie McNamee (bass, synths & backing vocals) & Harry Whyte (drums). The trio has performed across Belfast, Derry, Newry & Dublin, with highlights including Output Belfast 2025 and the Levels Showcase at Mandela Hall.

Following support from BBC Introducing on BBC Radio Ulster, who described Timkin’s music as “primed and ready for Series 4 of The Traitors”, and being named one of Hot Press’ Hot for 2026 artists, Timkin releases Favourite Child EP on 18 September before embarking on the Favourite Child UK & Ireland Tour. With a sound built for big stages, RIA TIMKIN continues to establish herself as a compelling emerging alt-pop artist.
