The Necks offer a phenomenal musical experience, unlike any other piano trio. Masters of their own musical language of long-form improvisation, each performance see the trio step onto the stage with zero pre-conceived ideas of what they will play. From the first note struck, to the final vibration felt, The Necks and audience go on a sonic journey that is created in the moment and in that room, never to be repeated again.

For over 35 years, the Australian band has mastered the process of building around repeated motifs through subtle shifts and layering. It produces an extraordinarily dense and hypnotic sound, which builds into moments that can only be described as epic. This is a trio with orchestral limits.

Described as “The greatest trio on Earth” by The New York Times, The Necks have been a firm favourite for many, for decades. Recently however, they have found brand new ears, with their music often being heard opening club nights and featuring in choice mixes.
