About the show
Steve Dagleish is known for his compassionate songs and intricate finger-picking. Based in London and originally from Hull, he has been an active presence on the acoustic music circuit for many years, drawing inspiration from artists like Nick Drake, John Martyn, and Neil Young.
His music is described as a blend of acoustic, folk, and sometimes orchestral sounds, with lyrics that range from intensely personal to highly political.
Dagleish is an engaging and assured live performer who has played at many of London's notable music venues, such as the Green Note, the Harrison, Bush Hall and various UK festivals.
His albums, including Only Losers Write on Bridges and Yours for Eternity, have received extensive airplay on BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing, and his second album was shortlisted for "Best Album by a Male Artist" in the FolkWords 2016 review.
