About the show
A commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the death of lutenist and composer John Dowland. Lute songs and 4-part ayres by Dowland and his contemporaries, performed by the Minstrels of Melodious Melancholy directed by lutenist Michael Fields. The singers are Norwegians Ingeborg Aadland and Marthe Aa, with British tenor Matthew Pope and bass James Tomlinson (who also plays lute).
The concert is part of a tour which starts in Eastbourne and ends in Wales.
