A British music legendary figure - Officially recognised for his eight Decades in music as a hit recording artist and songwriter.
Marty began his career in 1957 – his first UK chart hit “Endless Sleep”, and was one of the first British singers to play a leading part in the early formative and groundbreaking ‘Rock’n’roll’ years’.
Today he celebrates eight decades as a hit recording artist and songwriter (hits for Kim Wilde, Status Quo, Tom Jones, Hot Chocolate, The Casuals, Lulu etc.)
With his many hits, including “Teenager In Love”, “Endless Sleep”,” Donna”,” Sea Of Love”, “Bad Boy”, “Rubber Ball”,” “Jezebel” and others, plus a host of hit songs from a golden era – Marty Wilde and his fabulous band the Wildcats take you back through some of the most exciting musical times this country has ever experienced.
Marty tours select venues, writes, records and releases new material. His new album entitled “Let’s Rock This Place” is out now (Cherry Red Records).

Reg Smith (aka Marty Wilde) a massive pop star in the '50s and '60s with a plethora of hits including Rubber Ball , Teenager In Love, Jezebel, Bad Boy, Sea Of Love, Endless Sleep, etc. The father of iconic '80's hit recording artists Kim Wilde, he co -wrote many of her hits and his songs have been recorded by Status Quo (Ice In The Sun) Jesamin (The Casuals) I'm A Tiger (Lulu) Love Me Love My Dog (Peter Shelley) Tom Jones (All I Can Say Is Goodbye), Hot Chocolate (You'll Never Be So Wrong) Snow Patrol (I Am An Astronaut) and many more. Marty is currently touring select venues and getting a great reaction from audiences up and down the country.
His own show, Born To Rock 'n' Roll, in which he performs with his Wildcats, has received wonderful critical acclaim and has not only attracted his original fans but a whole host of new ones, who are just discovering the man and his individual brand of rock 'n' roll.
