About the show

Join us for our weekend-long showcase of acting and writing talent from Gloucestershire and beyond! Enjoy a varied programme of hour-long plays in our beautiful historic building with cafe and bar.
Highlights include:
The Elver Wars
A sketch-based romp through the history and science of the European Eel - including the time Gloucester became the scene of a very slippery conflict! Written by Jessica Law.
Something Rotten, or The Claudius Complex
Writer-performer Robert Cohen reassesses the events of Shakespeare’s classic through the eyes of the Prince’s homicidal yet undeniably hard-working uncle-turned-father, King Claudius. Directed by Jenny Rowe.
Phuckets and Rainbows
Chaos, comedy and cathartis collide in the one woman show written and performed by Lizzie Bean – a mum, wife and friend. Where do we find ourselves as we hit midlife, and what lessons brought us here?
Dancing With Auntie
It’s New Year’s Eve 1967 in Wythenshawe, Manchester. Two actor raconteurs bring eight characters to life to tell the story of a New Year party like no other! Written by Bill Cronshaw of Dreamshed Theatre.
The Smoking Show
A mixture of stand up, drama, autobiography and the occasional rant exploring writer/actor John Bassett's 40-year relationship with cigarettes in a changing society. By Spaniel In The Works Theatre Company.
Any Scene Will Do
A fast-paced improvised comedy show performed by The Fab Libs, where audience dreams spark spontaneous scenes.
